Defendants who lose at trial can’t just “hit reset” with a new stockholder vote, the chancellor concluded.
In some editions Tuesday, a Business & Finance article incorrectly said the Tesla shareholder who brought the suit would be entitled to the award. An analysis by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia estimated that homeowners of properties built between 1970 and 1999 would need to spend 26% more on maintenance than for properties built after 2000, and the costs to maintain a pre-1970 property would be even higher.
Tesla (TSLA) closed at $351.42 in the latest trading session, marking a -1.59% move from the prior day.
After an underwhelming year, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) stock soared last month, boosted by hopes that Trump's victory would help the electric vehicle (EV) maker, as CEO Elon Musk has made himself a close ally to president-elect Trump, spending heavily to aid his campaign before the election. As a result, the stock soared after the election, and it continued to climb as investors seemed to bet that regulations under the Trump administration would be favorable to Tesla. It's understandable that Tesla rose on Trump's victory as Musk was one of his most visible and vocal supporters, essentially going all-in on the former president.
Super Micro stock trades lower after Monday’s sharp gains, Tesla falls after a judge again rejects CEO Elon Musk’s pay package, and Donald Trump pledges to block Nippon Steel’s acquisition of U.S. Steel.
Tesla shipments from its plant in Shanghai fell year over year in November, making it a little harder for the company to hit its full-year sales goals.
For a second time, a Delaware judge has nullified a pay package that Tesla had awarded its CEO, Elon Musk, that once was valued at $56 billion. On Monday, Chancellor Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick turned aside a request from Musk's lawyers to reverse a ruling she announced in January that had thrown out the compensation plan. The judge ruled then that Musk effectively controlled Tesla's board and had engineered the outsize pay package during sham negotiations.
Momentum investing is all about riding bullish trends where buyers are in control. And that's precisely what we've seen with Tesla, SoFi, and Palantir as of late.
Lawyers for plantiff Richard Tornetta only got a fraction of what they asked for in the Musk pay drama.
Tesla (TSLA) workers have begun a three-day furlough, signaling a demand slowdown for its Cybertruck. Now this is getting just weird for Tesla and its shareholders. Tesla stock fell Tuesday after Delaware Chancery Court judge Kathaleen McCormick rejected Elon Musk’s pay package for a second time. The new rejection comes after a second shareholder vote designed to address the judge’s problems with the first vote.
Tesla is on a 40% tear since Donald Trump's election win, as investors speculate that self-driving is coming soon, with the Trump administration easing the regulatory path for autonomous vehicles. Tesla stock has been consolidating around highs in recent weeks. On Tuesday, Tesla stock fell 1.6% to 351.42 during market action as Delaware Court of Chancery Judge Kathaleen McCormick, in a late Monday decision, stuck with her January decision and once more rejected Chief Executive Elon Musk's $56 billion compensation package from 2018.
Tesla, Meta Platforms and Amazon all boast multiple bullish catalysts
Tesla reported a 4.3% year-over-year decrease in sales of its China-manufactured electric vehicles for November.
Tesla's (TSLA) board is eventually expected to get Chief Executive Elon Musk his hefty pay package "
